About Bernadette

Bernadette is a counselling psychologist with over 20 years experience providing counselling, psychotherapy and training.

She has a particular interest in working with people who have experienced complex trauma such as sexual abuse and family violence. She has experience working in both the community and private sectors.

Bernadette has now been consulting in private practice for over 10 years.  In her psychotherapy practice, she assists people with a wide range of difficulties such as trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationships issues, grief and major life transition.

Bernadette is an experienced supervisor, providing clinical supervision to a range of mental health professionals in both the community and private sectors.

Bernadette is interested in helping organisations to take care of their staff.  She has experience delivering training and consulting in relation to vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, wellbeing and building resilience.

Bernadette comes to each of her roles – as psychotherapist, trainer, supervisor, and consultant, with warmth, respect, humour, curiosity and openness to find paths for change.

Bernadette is

• a Member of the Australian Psychological Society

• a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society College of Counselling Psychology
